Our thriving private practice is seeking a licensed therapist (LCSW, LMHC, PsyD, or PhD) to join us in delivering high-quality, emotionally attuned care. With a steady referral base and supportive work environment, we offer the ideal setting for clinicians who want to do meaningful work..

Duties:

Provide individual, family and group therapy sessions for children, teens and families
Implement therapeutic interventions specific to children and teens (e.g. play therapy, expressive therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy) to assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals
Maintain weekly and quarterly documentation of client progress, treatment plans, intake and discharge procedures in a professional and ethical manner.
Maintain privacy and confidentiality of clients and their families
Manage crisis situations effectively, ensuring client safety and providing support and resources as needed.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in therapy and mental health care.

Requirements:

Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling, or a related field.
Licensed in New York State as an LCSW, LMHC, LCAT, PsyD, or PhD
Strong clinical and therapuetic skills
Experience working with children and teens
Knowledge and experience with therapeutic modalities that are effective with children and teens, such as Child Centered or Attachment Based Play Therapy, Expressive techniques such as art therapy, Sandtray Therapy
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Commitment to providing compassionate patient care while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Organized and self-motivated as this position offers freedom and flexibility in managing schedule
Collaborative by nature and open to learning and growing as part of a supportive clinical team
