Job Description

Inland Crane is seeking experienced Ironworkers to join our precast erection team on a large-scale construction project in Greenville, Texas.

This position is responsible for assisting with the rigging, hoisting, positioning, alignment, and securing of precast concrete components and structural steel. Ironworkers will work closely with crane operators, riggers, welders, and field supervisors to ensure safe and efficient erection operations.

The ideal candidate has experience in precast erection or structural steel construction, understands proper rigging and signaling practices, and is comfortable working at heights in an active construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the erection and installation of precast concrete wall panels, columns, beams, and other structural components.
Rig, guide, position, align, and secure precast components during crane operations.
Install and secure structural connections, embedded plates, braces, bolts, and other erection hardware.
Read and interpret erection drawings, blueprints, and installation details.
Assist with temporary bracing and stabilization of precast components in accordance with approved erection plans.
Perform bolting, connecting, and other structural assembly tasks.
Work closely with crane operators, riggers, signalpersons, and other erection crew members to safely position materials.
Inspect rigging equipment, tools, and lifting accessories before use.
Operate aerial lifts, personnel lifts, and other equipment as authorized.
Perform work at elevated heights using appropriate fall protection.
Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment deficiencies, and potential hazards.
Follow all company, OSHA, and project-specific safety procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Ironworker in structural steel or precast concrete erection preferred.
Experience with precast wall panels, structural connections, and erection bracing strongly preferred.
Knowledge of rigging practices, load handling, and crane signaling.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and erection plans.
Experience with structural bolting, alignment, and connection installation.
Familiarity with OSHA construction safety standards, including fall protection and steel or precast erection requirements.
Ability to work safely at heights and around heavy equipment.
Qualified rigger and signalperson training or certification preferred, as applicable to assigned duties.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of an erection crew.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and meet the physical demands of the position.
