Job Description

A long-established, family-owned company is hiring a Bookkeeper. This is the company’s standalone bookkeeping role, supported by a Senior Accountant and Controller at the parent management company.

Responsibilities

Handle full-cycle AP and AR, including deposits and collections

Manage job costing and coding, purchase and sales orders, change orders and two-step billing

Reconcile timecards across two systems

Check COIs and track materials

Build and maintain Excel reports using pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

Work directly with sales, operations, vendors and customers to keep things moving

Requirements

Solid transactional bookkeeping experience (AP, AR, billing, collections)

Strong grasp of debits and credits, with careful attention to coding and accounting periods

Personable, confident communicator who follows through and learns quickly

Comfortable with Excel

Construction or job costing experience and Sage 100 are a plus, but not required
