Working at HuFriedyGroup is so much more than a job, as every employee has a part in driving and supporting the organization's inspirational vision to be a global force in advancing dental performance through Best-In-Practice dentistry that improves lives around the world. About the Job HuFriedyGroup is creating a new Senior Digital Product Manager role dedicated to our Dental Service Organization (DSO) customer segment. DSOs are among the fastest-growing and most strategically important customers in dentistry, and they buy, operate, and measure value differently than independent practices: through multi-location parent/child account hierarchies, centralized procurement, contract pricing, and system-to-system integration. This individual will own the roadmap for implementing digital solutions for DSO customers, which may include eProcurement, eCommerce, DSO portals, and DSO-specific digital service offerings. This is a foundational role: there is no DSO digital roadmap today. The right person will immerse themselves in the business, learning how HuFriedyGroup serves DSOs and how DSOs operate, while building a backlog of digital opportunities that evolves into a living DSO roadmap. The work is agile and iterative, not linear: this role will launch near-term proofs of concept and pilots to learn quickly, pivot based on what is learned, and keep driving toward longer-term outcomes at the same time. The role reports to the Director, Digital Solutions Management. This Senior Digital Product Manager will own the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and prioritization through delivery and optimization, working closely with Strategic and National Accounts, Commercial Excellence, Customer Care, Enterprise Technology, and external partners. They will develop a deep understanding of how DSO corporate teams (procurement, supply chain, operations, and clinical leadership) and the practices beneath them work, and use data, experimentation, and AI-enabled approaches to inform decisions. Success in this role requires strong B2B product judgment, fluency in enterprise account structures and integration patterns, and the ability to translate complex commercial and clinical workflows into clear, scalable solutions aligned with HuFriedyGroup's premium brand and long-term digital strategy.
Shaping the DSO Roadmap
Owns the DSO digital roadmap and backlog, building it from the ground up and continuously evolving it as the business, customers, and learnings change Builds a working understanding of the DSO segment, including how DSOs are structured, how they buy, and how corporate and practice-level teams work, through ongoing discovery with DSO customers, Strategic and National Accounts, Commercial Excellence, Customer Care, and Operations Captures and evaluates digital opportunities across eProcurement, eCommerce, DSO portals, and DSO-specific digital service offerings, assessing customer value, business impact, feasibility, and effort Balances near-term proofs of concept and quick wins with longer-term platform outcomes, pursuing both in parallel rather than in sequence Uses evidence from pilots, experiments, and customer feedback to validate, reprioritize, or pivot, and is willing to stop work that isn't delivering value Brings clear recommendations and tradeoffs to the Director, Digital Solutions Management and business leadership, keeping stakeholders aligned as priorities shift Prioritizes investments that grow DSO revenue, deepen account penetration, and reduce cost-to-serve Understands clinical workflows such as instrument processing, infection prevention, and sterilization compliance, and how they shape product, service, and ordering needs across multi-location networks Ensures DSO capabilities are built as reusable, enterprise-grade platform components rather than one-off, account-specific solutions
Shaping DSO Digital Solutions
eProcurement: Defines requirements for connecting HuFriedyGroup to DSO procurement platforms and systems, including punchout (e.g., cXML/OCI), EDI, and ERP integrations, partnering with Enterprise Technology to ensure order, invoice, and data flows are reliable and scalable eCommerce: Defines B2B commerce capabilities for DSOs, including contract and account-specific pricing, approved product catalogs and formularies, role-based permissions, approval workflows, spend controls, and multi-location ordering and ship-to DSO Portals: Shapes portal experiences that give DSO corporate and practice users self-service access to orders, invoices, contracts, spend, compliance, and usage by location, supporting business reviews and demonstrating HuFriedyGroup's value DSO Digital Services: Identifies and defines DSO-specific digital service offerings, including opportunities to extend programs such as EverCare and GreenLight across multi-location networks Owns requirements for customer account hierarchies (parent/child) as the foundation for all DSO solutions, ensuring corporate entities, regions, and practice locations are accurately represented across commerce, CRM, and ERP systems Drives consistency of customer, product, and pricing data across systems so DSO accounts have a single, trusted view of their relationship with HuFriedyGroup
Turning Data into Direction with AI
Proactively identifies and defines high-value AI-enabled use cases for the DSO segment, such as predictive replenishment, reorder recommendations, contract compliance monitoring, and account health signals for commercial teams Applies AI-enabled tools and data-driven techniques across the product lifecycle to accelerate discovery, improve decision-making, and drive faster delivery of value Leads experimentation, prototyping, and pilots with DSO customers to test assumptions, measure outcomes, and inform roadmap and investment decisions Ensures AI-enabled solutions align with business objectives, data standards, and governance requirements, with appropriate transparency, explainability, and human judgment where needed Uses data, analytics, and experimentation outcomes to continuously evaluate digital product performance, inform prioritization, and optimize customer and business outcomes
From Idea to Clarity
Defines and documents digital product requirements, translating use cases and business needs into clearly structured, actionable backlog items for delivery teams and partners Translates complex B2B scenarios, such as hierarchy inheritance, pricing precedence, approval routing, and integration exception handling, into clear, testable requirements Reviews and validates product and delivery artifacts, including integration specifications and data mappings, to ensure requirements are complete, risks are addressed, and solutions are feasible Defines clear acceptance criteria and success metrics for digital product requirements, ensuring delivered solutions meet intended use cases and expected outcomes
From Backlog to Execution
Works in agile, iterative delivery cycles, releasing minimum viable capabilities early and improving them based on usage and feedback Owns digital product execution by defining priorities, sequencing work, and coordinating dependencies across commerce, CRM, ERP, and integration teams Acts as a ruthless prioritizer of the roadmap and backlog, balancing scalable capabilities for the full DSO segment against individual account requests Maintains and evolves the product backlog, ensuring requests are captured, evaluated, prioritized, and prepared for execution based on business value Serves as the primary point of contact for requirements clarification, ensuring backlog items are clearly defined and ready for execution Conducts functional validation and guides UAT, including end-to-end testing of integrations and onboarding of new DSO accounts and trading partners
Where Collaboration Turns Into Action
Partners with Strategic and National Accounts, Sales, and Commercial Excellence to understand DSO requirements, support account pursuits and business reviews, and define value narratives for digital capabilities Partners with Customer Care and Operations to reduce manual order handling, streamline DSO onboarding, and remove friction from the order-to-cash process Engages directly with DSO customers, from corporate procurement and clinical leaders to practice staff, through discovery, pilots, and feedback loops Defines and communicates transparent digital product roadmap
