DevGate builds software and engineering solutions for clients across industries. We are growing our engineering team and looking for a Full Stack AI Engineer who can take AI features from idea to production, covering the backend, the frontend and the models in between.
You will design, build and ship AI-powered products end to end. That includes web applications, APIs, data pipelines and LLM-based features. You will work closely with product and engineering leads and own features from architecture through deployment and monitoring.
Design and build full stack applications with AI/ML capabilities at their coreIntegrate and productionize LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models) through APIs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, embeddings and vector searchBuild scalable backend services and REST/GraphQL APIsDevelop responsive, clean frontend interfaces for AI-driven workflows (chat, search, dashboards, automation tools)Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, preprocessing and evaluationEvaluate model quality, latency and cost, and optimize for eachDeploy and monitor services with CI/CD, containers and cloud infrastructureWrite clean, tested, documented code and take part in code reviewsWork with cross-functional teams to turn requirements into working solutions
4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full stack workStrong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScriptBackend experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask or Node.jsFrontend experience with React or Next.jsHands-on experience building LLM-powered applications (RAG, agents, tool/function calling, prompt design)Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, Qdrant or similar)Experience with Docker, Git and CI/CD Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure)Solid understanding of system design, API design and software engineering fundamentals
Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar orchestration frameworksBackground in ML/DL with PyTorch or TensorFlow, including fine-tuning or model evaluationExperience with MLOps tooling, model serving and monitoringKnowledge of Kubernetes, message queues and async architecturesExperience with computer vision, NLP or speech systemsOpen-source contributions or published AI projects
