Control Software - Siemens

About the Company: Very stable company creating very interesting machines making state of the are parts for the aerospace industry.

This role is responsible for writing and maintaining Siemens control and software code, integrating CNC and PLC systems, troubleshooting electro-mechanical and software issues, supporting HMI and communication protocols, and participating in cross-functional design reviews to continuously improve system performance and functionality.

\n
Control Software for gantry and robotic applications
\n
Target code to run on Siemens Operate platforms
\n
Use TIA Portal development environments for CNC integration
\n
840D using STEP 7
\n
Write and maintain code in VB.NET WinForms, C, C++, and many IEC 61131-3 PLC
\n
Use Microsoft’s Visual Studio develop environments
\n
Target code to run on Windows and Intime RTOS
\n
Manage source controlled with Mercurial and Git
\n
Plans for C# and/or Indusoft development for future HMIs
\n
Utilize OPC-UA, Access Databases, and Modbus-TCP on various applications
\n
Focus on continuously improving and optimizing system performance and increasing control system functionality and capability
\n
Participate in cross-functional design reviews
\n
Troubleshoot electro-mechanical and software issues
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
BS in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Computer) or Computer Science
\n
\n
Preferably 5 or more years of relevant controls and software programming experience
\n
Must be a U.S. or have permanent status (green card)
\n
Travel will be less than 10%
\n
Relocation available
\n
\n

Pay Range $110K
