Alternative Asset Manager

Fairfield, CT | On-site

Brewer Morris is partnering with a specialty alternative asset manager in Fairfield, Connecticut to hire a Senior Investment Analyst. The firm is growing and the team is lean, so this hire will sit close to senior leadership and own the numbers behind investment decisions.

What you'll own

Price and value the firm's existing holdings and new acquisitions.

Build and run the firm's pricing and risk models, including VaR.

Work with large insurance and pricing datasets to test and refine the assumptions behind those models.

Help prepare bids and investment cases, and support diligence on new transactions.

Contribute to financing and capital structure work across the firm's funds.

Prepare performance reporting for institutional investors and build dashboards for the investment team.

Find places where AI tools can automate or speed up analysis and reporting.

What we're looking for

4+ years in finance, insurance or a related field, with a degree in finance, economics, actuarial science, engineering, mathematics or a similar subject.

Strong modeling skills, advanced Excel and VBA, and working SQL.

Practical experience using AI tools to automate work or improve reporting.

Sound commercial judgment.

No prior background in this asset class is required. Candidates from leveraged finance, leveraged lending, and insurance or actuarial pricing are all welcome. Experience with investor reporting, deal diligence or managing vendors is a plus.
