About the Role

The Process Engineer plays a key role in improving manufacturing performance, optimizing production systems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives at a large-scale industrial facility. This position works closely with operations, maintenance, quality, environmental, and engineering teams to identify opportunities that increase efficiency, reliability, safety, and overall plant performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, analyzing data, and driving measurable improvements across manufacturing processes. Responsibilities

Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve safety, production, reliability, and efficiency
Analyze process data and develop recommendations to optimize equipment and system performance
Lead and participate in process audits focused on major production systems and plant operations
Perform energy and material balance calculations to identify process improvement opportunities
Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Benchmark production processes and manufacturing performance against industry best practices
Research new technologies, equipment, and operating techniques that can improve plant performance
Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot process challenges
Assist with process equipment evaluations and support capital project planning efforts
Participate in root cause analysis activities and develop sustainable corrective actions
Support optimization of raw materials, fuels, utilities, and production processes
Contribute to performance reporting, process monitoring, and operational improvement initiatives Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
2+ years of engineering experience within cement manufacturing (experience with rotary kiln manufacturing is a plus)
Experience supporting process optimization, manufacturing improvement, or continuous improvement initiatives
Exposure to thermal processing, large-scale manufacturing equipment, or continuous production environments preferred
Experience in cement, mining, aggregates, minerals processing, lime, metals, chemicals, paper, or similar industrial operations is a plus
