Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
Experience designing overhead (OH) and/or underground (UG) power distribution systems.
Experience supporting utility infrastructure projects from design through construction.
Strong understanding of utility construction packages, including drawings, one-line diagrams, bills of material, and permitting documentation.
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal teams, field personnel, and utility clients.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience using SAP.
Day to Day:
The Distribution Engineer II will support utility distribution projects, ranging from simple service upgrades to large-scale rebuild and tie-line programs. This individual will work alongside senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to design, review, and deliver overhead and underground electric distribution projects.
Design overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
Develop construction drawings, engineering packages, and bills of material.
Perform line routing, conductor selection, pole loading analysis, and engineering calculations.
Create and review one-line diagrams and project documentation.
Coordinate design reviews and quality assurance activities prior to project submission.
Work closely with distribution, transmission, substation, renewable energy, and communications engineering teams.
Travel to project sites as needed to collect field data and support project execution.
Provide technical support throughout project design and construction phases.
Ensure all work complies with client standards, regulatory requirements, and safety codes.
