Krystal Biotech · Arkansas, AR, United States
About Krystal Bio: At Krystal Biotech, we bring together the brightest and most eager minds to relentlessly pursue the discovery, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of genetic medicines to treat diseases with high unmet medical needs.
Founded in 2016, Krystal is distinguished in three powerful ways: science and technology using our patented gene therapy platform, innovative manufacturing supported by our commercial scale facilities, and a unique commercialization model that focuses on the patient’s end-to-end experience.
FDA approval for the first and only redosable gene therapy treatment, VYJUVEK®, for the treatment of Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (DEB), an ultra-rare disease. Krystal continues to leverage our proprietary platform to rapidly advance a robust pipeline of investigational genetic medicines in respiratory, oncology, dermatology, and ophthalmology.
Krystal is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, which is home to our two state-of-the-art CGMP manufacturing facilities with teams around the world and satellite offices in Switzerland, Germany, and Japan. We are a company built and run by people who care, are fearless in the face of a challenge, love the work they do, and practice the highest level of scientific integrity. The Regional Gene Therapy Liaison (RGTL) will be a highly motivated, field-based professional who places a strong value on accountability, collaboration, and patient-centricity. This role is an exceptional entry point into the ultra-rare disease and gene therapy space, offering meaningful territory ownership and the potential for long-term career growth.
The RGTL will support the promotion of Vyjuvek, a non-invasive, topical gene therapy for the treatment of patients with dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB). Vyjuvek is designed to treat DEB at the molecular level by delivering functional copies of the COL7A1 gene to enable production of COL7 protein and address the underlying disease-causing mechanism.
This role is highly field-intensive, requiring extensive travel (at least 75%), and will execute across multiple territories within a region with a focus on market development. The Regional Gene Therapy Liaison will contribute to the successful commercialization of Vyjuvek within their assigned region and will represent the “voice of the customer” to internal Krystal teams. They will bring energy and enthusiasm to the dermatology community and other specialties involved in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of DEB.
We are seeking a creative and adaptable sales professional, who values and excels in a collaborative team environment while also having strong capabilities in strategic thinking and time management. Krystal employees are expected to embrace diversity and work effectively with internal and external partners from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. The successful candidate must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and strict adherence to corporate and industry compliance standards. The Regional Gene Therapy Liaison is a key member of Krystal’s customer-facing field organization and partners with healthcare professionals to identify needs while compliantly educating stakeholders about Vyjuvek.
This is an at-will, full-time, benefits-eligible position with an initial fixed term of six (6) months . Continued employment beyond the initial term, including extension or conversion to a full-time role, will be considered based on individual performance and business needs, but is not guaranteed.
