Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager or Controller-level consultant to support their accounting team on a long-term engagement expected to last up to one year.

This is a

part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week)

and requires being

onsite in Golden, CO . The schedule can be flexible, but the ideal candidate enjoys staying engaged in the day-to-day accounting function while providing experienced support to leadership.

Responsibilities

Support month-end close activities

Review journal entries and account reconciliations

Assist with general ledger and financial reporting activities

Partner with accounting leadership on special projects and process improvements

Help manage workload, backlog, and ad hoc accounting initiatives

Provide hands-on accounting support in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

7+ years of progressive accounting experience

Previous experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar accounting leadership role

Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting

Experience working within larger organizations and complex ERP environments (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Workday, or similar)

Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required

Exposure to process improvement, reporting automation, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, or other workflow tools is a plus, but not required

Ideal Candidate:

We're primarily looking for a strong accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work and can quickly contribute. Experience with automation and workflow tools would be beneficial, but it is not a requirement. The ability to operate effectively within a larger-company environment and navigate enterprise ERP systems is more important.

The salary range for this position is $55/hr to $70/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
