AP/AR Specialist
Buffalo Grove, IL | $30–$38/Hour | Immediate Start | Contract Through February
Looking for your next accounting opportunity? We’re seeking an experienced AP/AR Specialist who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. This is an
immediate-start contract position through the end of February
, ideal for someone with a strong accounts payable background, working knowledge of accounts receivable, and the confidence to work independently with minimal training.
Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing and three-way matching
Prepare check runs and electronic payments
Process and post customer payments and maintain cash collection records
Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and assist with collections
Process customer deposit refunds
Complete monthly liability account reconciliations
Utilize Excel to analyze ERP reports and support financial reporting
2+ years of experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable, with a stronger AP background preferred
High school diploma required; some college coursework in accounting is a plus
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
A proactive mindset and the ability to step in and manage responsibilities with minimal direction
