About the Role

Commercial general contractor is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead projects from planning through closeout. The company has a strong record of delivering quality projects across healthcare, education, government, industrial, hospitality, religious, and institutional sectors. This role is a good fit for a hands-on project manager who can manage project finances, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, and client relationships while working closely with field Superintendents.

Responsibilities

Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.

Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and cost controls.

Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, procurement, and project resources.

Administer contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.

Work with Superintendents to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain quality.

Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.

Support successful project turnover and closeout.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of commercial construction experience, including project management responsibilities.

Required Skills

Experience working for a commercial general contractor.

Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and contracts.

Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and building systems.

Clear communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Ability to support projects throughout Northern Virginia.

Preferred Skills

Ground-up commercial construction experience preferred.

Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred.

Experience managing projects valued at $10 million or more is preferred.
