Contract
Hybrid, 3 days a week in NYC
5+ years of data and analytics engineering experience, including hands-on work with property and casualty insurance data (policy, premium, claims, losses, reserves)
Strong SQL Server development: complex T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning against large transactional and reporting datasets
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI Semantic Layer (or SSAS) and Azure Data Factory.
Experience with Git, branch management, and CI/CD pipelines in a data environment.
Deep understanding of P&C insurance industry data (e.g., policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, actuarial models, ceded reinsurance).
Must be able to work independently and also partner with business SMEs to translate insurance rules into pipeline logic
