Robert Half is partnering with a

private equity-backed manufacturing company

in North Arlington, NJ seeking an experienced

Controller

to join its growing finance organization.

This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the CFO and overseeing a team of accountants along with AP/AR. The ideal candidate will bring a strong manufacturing accounting background, hands-on leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the day-to-day accounting function

Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team

Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement

Develop existing talent and help strengthen the accounting organization

Partner closely with the CFO and broader leadership team

Bring a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

8–15+ years of corporate accounting experience

Manufacturing industry experience required

Strong accounting leadership and team development experience

Experience with a larger ERP system

Private equity-backed company experience is a strong plus

Public company accounting experience is a plus

CPA preferred, but not required

Agile, energetic, and solutions-oriented leadership style
