Cost Accountant

Brunswick, GA (On-Site, 5 Days/Week)

Full-Time | Exempt

$90,000 - $110,000 Base Salary + 15% Bonus Opportunity

Our client is seeking a

Cost Accountant

to join their Finance team and support manufacturing operations through accurate product costing, inventory analysis, financial reporting, and operational decision support. This individual will partner closely with plant leadership, operations, and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve efficiencies, and ensure strong financial controls.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain standard costs for new and existing products

Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and provide recommendations

Support inventory valuation, reconciliations, and monthly close activities

Review manufacturing and production data for costing accuracy

Prepare reports related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and production performance

Assist with cycle count processes and inventory control initiatives

Collaborate with plant operations, supply chain, and finance teams

Support audits, financial reporting, and continuous improvement projects

Qualifications

✅ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

✅ 3-4+ years of cost accounting or operations finance experience

✅ Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred

✅ Experience with ERP systems and standard costing methodologies

✅ Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

✅ Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities

✅ Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

✅ Willingness to travel occasionally as needed

Base Salary:

$90,000 - $110,000

15% Annual Bonus Opportunity
