Issaquah, WA Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00, Monday - Friday; No Weekends or On-Call) Job Description: This role is for a Medical Assistant in a primary care clinic. A Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is preferred, though a Registered Medical Assistant (MA-R) may be considered if the candidate has prior experience in a similar environment within the organization. This opportunity has emerged to cover an unexpected leave of absence. Key Responsibilities:Obtain and record vital signs. Perform 12 lead EKG/ECG as required. Prepare for patient examinations, including recording history, medications, and allergies. Set up and assist with medical procedures, including nebulizer treatments. Administer injections and immunizations. Collect specimens, ensuring proper labeling for throat swabs, urinalysis, and venipuncture. Conduct laboratory tests, including blood glucose tests via glucometer. Manage office duties such as telephone triage and pharmacy calls for patient refill requests. Administer TB tests and perform follow-up phone calls. Room patients and assist with suture removals, including initial attempts. Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient/internal medicine clinic setting. Experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic, is required. Recent experience in a similar clinical setting within the last 6 months is mandatory. Candidates should hold either a MA-C or, under specific conditions, a MA-R certification. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Clinic Highlights:Type of Facility: Primary Care Clinic Scrub Color: Dark Blue Working Conditions:No weekend shifts required. This position will remain at the same location every day; there will be no floating between units. Additional Information: The role may lead to a permanent position for local candidates.
