Our Ideal Candidate for this role

Bachelor's degree in related field

Minimum 4 years of proven actuarial and/or underwriting analysis

5+ years of people management/leadership skills

Experience working with a TPA preferred

Sound business acumen - understands short and long term impact on metrics including revenue, margin, risk, etc. as well as the industry or market key trends, operations, functions, business drivers and strategic decisions; Understands the competition

What You’ll Do

This leadership position will be responsible for overseeing the company and client actuarial and underwriting functions. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to

Submitting accurate pricing for Master Health Plans (MHP) and actuarial data

Establishing adequate loss reserves (IBNR, catastrophic and deficiency)

Monitoring clients who have been classified as high claimants and create high cost resolutions

Assisting in the modeling of future projections in areas of claims and growth

Determining adequate and sufficient rate development for new clients and renewals

Providing expertise in developing actuarial models and generating reports to determine the company's future projections

Acting as a liaison between all MHP vendors

Overseeing all areas of the benefits quoting process
