About Failsafe Controls
Failsafe Controls is an industrial automation and control systems company specializing in process automation for the oil and gas industry. We design, develop, integrate, commission, and support control systems ranging from field instrumentation and PLC-based control systems to SCADA, gas measurement, analytical equipment, communications, and enterprise-level industrial applications.
Our work requires us to solve real-world problems across a wide variety of equipment, manufacturers, communications protocols, and software platforms. We pride ourselves on providing practical, dependable solutions and developing long-term partnerships with our customers.
Failsafe Controls is seeking an experienced Control Systems Integrator who can step into active projects and quickly become a key technical member of our team.
We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, technically versatile, and comfortable working through unfamiliar problems. This position is best suited for an experienced integrator who does not need constant supervision or step-by-step instruction.
You do not need to know every platform we work with on day one. However, you should have strong enough controls and automation foundation that you can independently research unfamiliar equipment, troubleshoot problems, learn new systems quickly, and know when to ask questions.
This role will work across the full lifecycle of automation projects, including system design, PLC programming, SCADA/HMI development, communications, instrumentation, troubleshooting, commissioning, field support, and customer interaction.
Design, program, configure, troubleshoot, and commission industrial control systems.
Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications.
Troubleshoot existing systems in both development and field environments.
Integrate PLCs, RTUs, flow computers, analyzers, instrumentation, and third-party equipment.
Configure and troubleshoot industrial communications including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, OPC, serial communications, and industrial Ethernet networks.
Work with multiple manufacturers and control platforms rather than being limited to a single ecosystem.
Develop technical documentation, drawings, reports, procedures, and system documentation.
Support commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and modifications at customer facilities.
Communicate directly with customers, operators, engineers, technicians, and other project stakeholders.
Independently manage assigned tasks and communicate progress, problems, and technical risks.
Assist other team members and contribute to technical decisions across projects.
Be willing to research and learn unfamiliar equipment or software when required.
Travel to customer facilities including offshore as needed to deploy or troubleshoot systems.
