One of our top clients in the

Central Phoenix

area is seeking a hands-on

Assistant Controller

to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This individual will partner closely with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.

Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Support cash flow management and balance sheet reconciliations.

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.

Partner with leadership on financial reporting and operational initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

NetSuite

experience highly preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

CPA preferred but not required.
