Full-Time Outpatient Therapist

Just Be Counseling Services is looking for a Full-Time Outpatient Therapist to join our small, supportive group private practice in Burlington, NC! We value clinical autonomy, meaningful collaboration, and creating an environment where therapists feel connected and supported.

Who We Are

We are a team of four outpatient mental health therapists providing in-person and virtual counseling services across North Carolina. Our practice emphasizes trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, anti-racist, and culturally responsive care.

Our clinicians work with different age groups and specialize in a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, neurodivergence, and life transitions.

Position Details

We're seeking a skilled, compassionate clinician who shares our practice values, demonstrates sound clinical judgment, and values ongoing professional growth. We welcome clinicians with different specialties and backgrounds and don't expect applicants to have expertise in every presenting concern or population we serve.

Full-time, W-2 employment

Combination of in-person and telehealth services, with most sessions held at our Burlington office

Full-time caseload of approximately 22–25 completed clinical sessions per week

Flexible scheduling and autonomy in day-to-day clinical work

Regular individual clinical consultation, monthly team meetings, and informal consultation as needed

Opportunities to work with children, adolescents, and families (experience welcomed but not required)

Qualifications

Current North Carolina clinical licensure: LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, LCSWA, LMFT, or LMFTA

Experience providing outpatient mental health counseling preferred

Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills

Ability to manage a clinical caseload independently while collaborating with colleagues as needed

Full-Time Compensation Structure

This is a full-time, W-2 position with compensation based on completed clinical sessions rather than a fixed annual salary. A full-time caseload consists of approximately 22–25 completed clinical sessions per week.

Associate-Licensed Therapists (LCMHCA, LCSWA, LMFTA): $65 per completed clinical session

Fully Licensed Therapists (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT): $70 per completed clinical session

Estimated Annual Clinical Earnings at an Established Caseload

Associate-Licensed Therapists: $66,000–$75,000

Fully Licensed Therapists: $71,000–$81,000

Estimates are calculated using the applicable per-session rate, 22–25 completed clinical sessions per week, and 46 clinical production weeks annually. Actual earnings depend on the number of completed sessions and reflect an established caseload rather than guaranteed annual or first-year compensation.

We recognize that building a sustainable caseload takes time. New clinicians typically experience a three-to-four-month caseload development period as insurance credentialing is completed and referrals are established.
