Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred
At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or buying, preferably within manufacturing
Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and material planning processes
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications
Proven skills in supplier management, sourcing, negotiation, and cost reduction
Experience purchasing mechanical, electrical, and industrial components is desirable
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
Develop and oversee purchasing programs with key suppliers and monitor their performance
Implement strategies to identify and realize cost savings opportunities
Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions
Collaborate with engineering, finance, production, and leadership to source industry-relevant materials and maintain a pipeline of procurement opportunities
Maintain accurate records for part maintenance, supplier invoices, and material requirements, supporting continuous improvement initiatives
