About The Role
Our client is seeking a Senior-level Network Engineer / Manager with expert-level Cisco / Meraki experience to act as the critical link between the business and their outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP).
This is not a heads-down, deep CLI all day role. We need someone who understands how enterprise networks are actually
put together, can speak the language of the business, and can hold a vendor accountable to get things done. You will own the network strategy and execution internally while the outsourced partner handles day-to-day management.
What You'll Do
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the outsourced network management vendor
Oversee, audit, and direct all network operations, projects, and incident resolution performed by the MSP
Provide senior-level design, architecture, and troubleshooting guidance for LAN/WAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewall infrastructure
Translate business requirements into technical requirements and ensure timely delivery by the vendor
Manage network performance, security, and capacity planning for a Cisco / Meraki environment
Lead network upgrades, site expansions, and standard equipment deployments
Establish best practices, documentation, and SLAs for network operations
What We're Looking For
8+ years of progressive networking experience, with senior-level / lead experience
Expert-level hands-on experience with Cisco and Meraki
- switching, routing, wireless, and security appliances is required
Solid understanding of core networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, BGP, OSPF, QoS, firewalls
Proven experience managing or interfacing with an outsourced MSP / vendor - you know how to get things done through a third party
Strong communication skills - able to interface with both executive leadership and technical teams
Experience with standard enterprise networking equipment and architecture best practices
CCNP, CCIE, or Meraki CMNA certification is a strong plus
Work Model
Hybrid role based in Scottsdale, AZ - 4 days per week in office
is required. Local candidates preferred.
