Job Description

Robert Half is looking for motivated Assistant Project Managers in the Commercial Construction space for our client in the Westfield, NJ area.

This is an amazing opportunity to join a growing construction team and gain valuable project management experience in the commercial space.

Responsibilities

Assist with bidding, subcontractor buyout, and contract review processes

Manage RFIs, submittals, and material procurement tracking

Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring subcontractors stay on track

Track long-lead items and coordinate schedule impacts

Review drawing revisions and manage change orders

Participate in client meetings, OAC meetings, and project update discussions

Coordinate third-party inspections and punch list completion

Support project closeout documentation and reporting

Qualifications

OSHA 30 certification preferred

2+ years of construction industry experience preferred

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field is a plus

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn company-specific software
