Description Medical Billing Specialist Remote Position - Must Reside in CT, NY, NJ, or MA About the Position:
As a Medical Billing Specialist on our Client Access team, you’ll play an important role in that process by verifying insurance benefits, identifying coverage requirements or barriers, and helping ensure accurate information is available before services begin. Monday - Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Use payer portals and phone calls to confirm deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums, network status, limitations, and authorization requirements
Document verification details accurately and communicate benefits, estimated patient responsibility, and coverage concerns to appropriate teams
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 1 year of experience in insurance verification, patient access, and/or medical billing
The base rate of pay for this position is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
