Job Description

We're looking for an Embedded Software Test Engineer who enjoys digging into source code, building automated test frameworks, and improving software quality through code-level testing and verification.

This is not a traditional QA role. We're specifically seeking engineers who can test and troubleshoot embedded software internals, not just validate finished products.

What You'll Be Doing

Develop and maintain automated unit tests for embedded software

Create and expand automated integration test environments

Perform white-box testing by analyzing source code, software architecture, and internal logic

Troubleshoot complex software issues and identify root causes

Collaborate with developers to recommend and validate code changes

Execute static analysis activities and support code quality initiatives

Improve and automate test frameworks, tooling, and verification processes

Support embedded software development throughout the full product lifecycle

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Experience developing or maintaining automated unit tests

Experience with automated integration testing

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Experience working in embedded software or product-development environments

Proven troubleshooting and debugging skills

Ability to read, understand, and analyze embedded source code

Experience influencing software quality and software design through test findings

Static analysis tools (Coverity, Polyspace, Klocwork, PC-Lint, Helix QAC, cppcheck, etc.)

Embedded C/C++

RTOS environments

Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or Software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing

Automotive, aerospace, industrial controls, medical device, robotics, or other embedded product-development experience
