Monday through Friday, day shift. Lead a dispatch team for an established trucking company near Milwaukee.
Our client, a well established, asset based trucking company in Hartford, WI, is looking for an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to lead their dispatch team. This is a great fit for a Dispatch Manager, Driver Manager, Fleet Manager, or senior Dispatcher who enjoys training people, building a strong team, and wants a long term home with regular weekday hours.
Normal hours are Monday through Friday, about 7am to 4pm, with occasional after hours support when problems arise. This is an on site role, ideal for someone living in the Hartford, West Bend, Slinger, Germantown, Hartland, Oconomowoc, or greater Milwaukee area.
What You’ll Do
Lead, train, coach, and develop a team of truck dispatchers and driver managers
Oversee daily load planning, routing, and scheduling to maximize truck and driver utilization
Deliver excellent customer service and strong on time pickup and delivery performance
Build trust with professional CDL drivers and support driver retention through clear communication and problem solving
Partner with the safety department on driver training, new driver onboarding, and road tests
Serve as the escalation point for service failures, driver concerns, and customer issues
Track KPIs including on time delivery, empty miles, deadhead, revenue per truck, and driver productivity
Work with the logistics team to balance capacity with customer demand
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, FMCSA rules, and Hours of Service (HOS)
Find process improvements that make the operation run smoother and more profitably
What You Bring
Strong knowledge of load planning, routing, and fleet operations
Experience with a TMS such as McLeod, TMW, or similar, and ELD platforms such as Samsara or Omnitracs
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service
Calm, organized, and effective in a fast paced operations environment
