Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a South Carolina license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience with wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical dressings required.
Community hospital experience is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
Required Credentials:
You must have applied for your South Carolina license prior to submission.
Special Requests:
All RTO must be included at time of submission; approval will be based on facility needs.
If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC.
Unit Details:
Adult patient population.
Patient population includes CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, total joint replacements, UTIs, wounds, chest pain, amputations, and hypertension.
Unit details include peritoneal dialysis, chest tube management, wound care, and postoperative surgical care.
During hurricane season (June through November; peak August–September), travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams. If unavailable for emergency response duties, please do not confirm new assignments or extensions during this period.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
No call.
Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
Floating Requirements:
Float within scope to meet facility needs, including between like units and sister facilities.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
