Special Education Teacher Opportunity Make a meaningful difference in students' lives by guiding them toward their academic goals in a supportive elementary school setting. A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the upcoming school year, with the potential to extend through May 2027. This contract position offers the chance to immerse yourself in a vibrant school community while impacting the achievement and growth of young learners. Key requirements:
Valid and current Special Education Teacher certification for South Carolina—no exceptions. Demonstrated experience working with elementary school students in a resource or similar special education setting. Strong knowledge of IEP development, instruction, and implementation. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families. Positive, patient, and adaptable approach to working with diverse learning needs. Commitment to creating an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
Role responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs at the elementary resource level. Develop daily lesson plans tailored to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Monitor and track student progress toward academic and behavioral goals. Modify curriculum content as necessary to accommodate individual differences. Collaborate with general education staff, support professionals, and families to ensure student success. Maintain all required documentation and compliance with IDEA and state guidelines.
