Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced API Architect
to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, cloud-native API solutions for enterprise banking applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in API Architecture, Microservices, Cloud, Enterprise Integration, API Security, API Gateways, and API Governance , along with the ability to provide technical leadership across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Define enterprise API architecture and strategy aligned with business objectives
• Design scalable REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs
• Establish API standards, governance, versioning, and lifecycle management
• Develop API specifications using OpenAPI / Swagger
• Architect cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Design microservices using Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement API security using OAuth2, JWT, SAML, OIDC, and TLS
• Design event-driven architectures using Kafka and RabbitMQ
• Implement API Gateway solutions for routing, throttling, monitoring, and security
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and API platform operations
• Optimize API performance, scalability, availability, and reliability
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Developers, DevOps, and Security teams
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams
Required Skills
✅ 15+ years of Software Engineering experience
✅ 5+ years of API Architecture experience
✅ REST APIs, GraphQL, and SOAP Web Services
✅ OpenAPI / Swagger
✅ OAuth2, JWT, SAML, OIDC, TLS
✅ AWS, Azure, or GCP
✅ Docker & Kubernetes
✅ Microservices Architecture & DDD
✅ Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
✅ Kafka or RabbitMQ
✅ DNS, Load Balancers, and TLS
✅ Banking / Financial Services experience
