Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced CT Technologist for a 13-weeks contract opportunity with a hospital in New York, NY 10029.

Responsibilities

Perform routine, emergency, and specialized CT examinations using multidetector CT scanners while maintaining high-quality diagnostic imaging standards.

Verify patient identity, review clinical history, assess contrast-related risks, and prepare patients for safe and efficient imaging procedures.

Administer oral and IV contrast media according to established protocols and monitor patients for adverse reactions.

Optimize scanning parameters and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure while ensuring diagnostic image quality.

Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and emergency department staff to support timely diagnosis and patient care.

Document procedures accurately in EMR/RIS, transmit images to PACS, perform equipment quality checks, and maintain compliance with radiation safety and infection-control standards.

Qualifications

Must have minimum of 2-year CT Technologist experience.

PET CT experience preferred.

Maintains active Nuclear Medicine, CT licenses and BLS.

High School Diploma or Higher.
