Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience working with surgical patients.
Special Requests:
Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well.
Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
If you previously worked for Sanford Health, your employment end date must be 6 months before your submission date.
Unit Details:
Provides care for complex patients with general medical needs, including acute and chronic renal failure, hypertension, diabetes, head and neck cancer, thyroid cancer, heart failure, chronic wounds, and paraplegia or quadriplegia.
The team also cares for kidney transplant recipients and living donors, with an outpatient infusion room for new kidney transplant patients to receive infusions after discharge.
Uses One Chart for documentation, PCA and epidural pumps, and telemetry.
Shift & Scheduling:
Day/night rotating shifts.
Every other weekend and holiday.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver's license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
