A well-established, privately held organization is seeking a
Controller
to lead the accounting function and serve as a key financial partner to executive leadership. This is a rare succession-planning opportunity offering direct exposure to senior leadership, ownership-level visibility, and a structured transition with the current accounting leader. The incoming Controller will inherit an accounting department that has undergone significant process improvements and will have the opportunity to help shape the next phase of growth and operational excellence.
Position Overview
The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close activities. This individual will provide financial insight to leadership while maintaining a hands-on approach to the day-to-day accounting function.
Key
Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records
Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and controls
Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy and decision-making
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial analysis activities
Mentor and develop accounting staff
Drive process improvement initiatives across the accounting function
