Technical Writer | Defense Programs | Active Secret Clearance

Join a mission-focused technical team supporting complex defense systems where accurate documentation directly impacts safety, consistency, and mission execution.

We’re looking for a Technical Writer who can turn technical information into clear, controlled documentation while working closely with engineering and program teams.

What You’ll Do

Develop analysis reporting templates for project reporting.

Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Incorporate clear Warnings, Cautions, and Notes into technical documentation.

Review and proofread technical material for accuracy, grammar, clarity, and layout.

Manage configuration baselines and ensure hardware/software changes are reflected in current documentation.

Handle and mark classified documents according to their security classification.

Create and maintain technical documentation using LaTeX.

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Technical writing experience, including SOP development.

Experience managing configuration-controlled documentation.

Experience with LaTeX, Markdown, or similar typesetting/markup system.

Active Secret clearance.

Ability to work 100% on-site at an Army installation.

Experience supporting Department of Defense programs or projects is preferred.
