Kelly Engineering is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician
to join one of our leading clients in the Chemical Manufacturing industry supporting their maintenance team at their Orange, TX plant.

Ideal Candidate
Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical and instrumentation (I&E) experience
Strong electrical background with experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems in an industrial environment.
Candidates with chemical manufacturing experience and analyzer maintenance experience are highly preferred.
Shift:
Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts .
While the standard schedule offers a consistent workweek, candidates should be available for overtime and call-outs
as needed to support plant operations and maintenance activities.
Compensation:
$38.00 - $50.00/hour (Depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution systems, motors, control panels, PLCs, transmitters, control valves, and instrumentation.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize equipment downtime.
Calibrate, test, and maintain process instrumentation and control systems.
Support maintenance and reliability initiatives while adhering to all safety standards and company procedures.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, and turnaround activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of industrial electrical and instrumentation (I&E) experience is required.
Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and process controls.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to perform a variety of maintenance tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Ability to respond to overtime and after-hours call-outs when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a chemical manufacturing or process manufacturing
environment.
Experience maintaining or troubleshooting process analyzers
(gas analyzers, pH analyzers, conductivity analyzers, moisture analyzers, etc.).
Analyzer training or certifications are a strong plus.
Experience with PLCs, DCS systems, and process control instrumentation.
Electrical license, journeyman certification, or equivalent industrial training is a plus.
