Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with 2+ years of current MS/Tele experience and a KY or compact RN license for a day shift hospital assignment. Details

MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 Meditech EMR used, experience preferred Day shift schedule rotating between 3x12 and 4x12 hours (7:00-19:30) Floating required within scope of practice Every other weekend required Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

Active RN license (KY or compact) in hand at time of consideration Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Minimum 2 years of current MS/Tele experience required Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/peripheral line care, and blood product administration Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac drip management Experience with wound care, IV insulin protocols, and isolation precautions Driver's license required with address matching permanent address Two professional references required: one charge or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year

Additional Information

Care for patients with cardiac telemetry, renal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions Manage post-cardiac angiogram and post-MI patients including sheath removal and TR Band care Provide care for CVA, post-TPA, and pre/post neurosurgery patients Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; medical and religious exemptions considered case by case Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront with no changes accepted Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment Travelers who have worked within the system must take a minimum 6-month break before returning after a one-year assignment First-time travelers may be considered depending on relevant specialty experience
