Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the EFU Life Assurance Karachi Cantt Branch in Karāchi. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and promoting life assurance products that meet customer needs. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting potential clients, conducting meetings and presentations, explaining product features and benefits, and guiding customers through the sales and onboarding process. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with branch leadership to achieve sales targets, prepare regular performance reports, and participate in marketing and outreach activities. The role also requires staying informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory guidelines to ensure professional and compliant service.

Qualifications

Strong business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
Client relationship management abilities, with a focus on customer service, follow-up, and long-term retention.
Communication and interpersonal skills to conduct effective meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
Basic financial literacy and understanding of insurance or financial products; prior life assurance or banking experience is an advantage.
Ability to work toward defined targets, manage time effectively, and operate within a structured branch environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
Comfort working on-site in Karāchi, with readiness to visit clients and participate in field activities as needed.
Proficiency with common office software and reporting tools for tracking sales activities and performance.
