Our Project Consulting Practice is seeking a motivated and adaptable
Staff Accountant
to support clients across a variety of accounting and finance initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse engagements, gain exposure to multiple industries, and contribute to critical accounting projects ranging from month-end close support to process improvement and system implementations.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments while quickly adapting to new teams, systems, and business processes.
Key
Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting functions.
Analyze financial data and research variances.
Prepare financial reports and schedules for management review.
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
Support audit requests by gathering documentation and preparing schedules.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and accounting clean-up projects.
Assist with ERP implementations, system conversions, and testing activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Collaborate with client management teams and provide project-based accounting support as assigned.
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or PeopleSoft.
