Pay Rate:

$30–$50/hr, depending on experience and skill level

Duration:

6 Month contract to hire

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance experience across multiple systems or customer programs

3+ years of electronic security systems experience

Hands-on experience installing and terminating electronic security panels and devices

Experience with access control, intrusion detection, and/or CCTV/video surveillance systems

Ability to troubleshoot hardware and system-level security issues and read project/design drawings

Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% / near full time

Ability and willingness to obtain the required TS/SCI clearance

Valid driver’s license and high school diploma/GED with qualifying electronics, electrical, military, or equivalent field training/experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Lenel, Genetec, CCURE, or Identiv/Hirsch Velocity experience or certifications

Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV/BVMS, Aiphone, FFT, or DIVAR experience

Experience programming and commissioning head-end security equipment

Experience supporting secure facilities or SCIF buildouts

Experience leading or mentoring junior technicians

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Security Technician 2 to support a leading electronic security and mission-critical systems integration client on large-scale projects throughout the DMV area. This role will focus on the installation, integration, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of electronic security systems across commercial and secure government environments. Candidates should be comfortable traveling extensively between project sites and independently supporting complex field installations.

Install and maintain access control, intrusion detection, CCTV/video surveillance, and related electronic security systems

Perform panel and device terminations and install head-end security equipment

Troubleshoot hardware and system issues and support software commissioning and system testing

Support new security installations in offices, secure facilities, and SCIF-related projects

Conduct inspections, evaluations, inventories, drawing takeoffs, and RFIs

Maintain daily reports and document installation and project progress

Support project schedules, labor-hour forecasting, safety audits, and operational risk management activities

Communicate field issues to leadership and provide guidance to other technicians as appropriate
