The company is planning three years out, and the numbers need to hold up to anyone who looks at them. A food manufacturer in Riverside is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst on a temporary basis through the end of this year. The role builds and owns the company’s long-range financial plan and gets its financials ready for outside review as leadership weighs strategic options. You’ll report to the Chief Financial Officer and work directly with ownership and senior leadership. This is an individual contributor seat. You own the model, the analysis, and the story the numbers tell. In the first 30 days, you’ll take over a three-year plan already in progress, learn the cost structure of a food manufacturing operation, and get the model to the point where leadership trusts it to make decisions. The hardest part is making historical numbers clean, consistent, and defensible when you didn’t build them. But if you’ve built a multi-year model from scratch and had to defend it in front of executives, this one is worth a look. What you’ll own
Three-year financial projections covering revenue, margin, operating expense, capital, and cash flow Scenario, sensitivity, and ROI/NPV analysis on capital projects and strategic options Product and plant profitability, inventory cost, and margin driver analysis Normalizing historical financials and building supporting schedules for outside review Executive and board-level reporting Budget vs. actual variance analysis, with the drivers explained to operations and leadership
What you bring
5+ years in FP&A or corporate finance, including ownership of budgets and forecasts Multi-year financial models built from scratch Advanced Excel, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and model design Strong GAAP and accounting-cycle fundamentals Experience presenting to executives or a board Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field Manufacturing, CPG, or distribution experience preferred, especially with inventory or standard costing Exposure to a sale, acquisition, or due diligence process is a plus
