A highly successful family office is seeking a Manager, Investment Accounting & Performance to join its investment team. Reporting directly to the SVP, Portfolio Oversight, this individual will have ownership of the firm’s investment-side accounting, performance reporting, and related investment operations.
South Miami
Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Key
Oversee investment accounting and performance activities performed by the outsourced Administrator
Ensure accurate and timely recording of investment transactions, valuations, and performance
Review and analyze investment performance reporting and accounting calculations
Review investment fund financial statements and monitor portfolio activity
Oversee investment-related cash activity and daily/monthly reconciliations
Partner with custodians, investment advisors, and the Administrator on account openings, asset transfers, and other investment operations
Support annual audit and investment-related tax processes, including K-1s and 1099s
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, reporting, and controls
Leverage data analytics, automation, AI, and technology to improve efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
5–10 years of experience in investment accounting, performance, and/or investment operations
Experience within an allocator environment such as a family office, endowment, foundation, or similar investment organization strongly preferred
Strong understanding of alternative investments across multiple structures and strategies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple complex priorities
