Special Education Teacher Positions Step into a rewarding opportunity impacting the lives of young learners in a K-2nd grade self-contained classroom setting. We are seeking Special Education Teachers for two full-time contract positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. Situated near Winchester, TN, these roles play a pivotal part in fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment for students with diverse needs. Qualifications:
Valid 461 Tennessee Special Education teaching license required Previous experience with elementary-aged students, especially in self-contained classrooms, preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Passion for supporting and advocating for students with special needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to K-2nd grade students in a self-contained classroom Develop, review, and update IEPs tailored to each student's abilities and goals Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to support each learner's success Track and document student progress, adapting strategies to meet learning objectives Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom community that encourages communication, independence, and academic growth
