We are looking for an experienced Settlements Specialist with a background in Owner Operator payments, driver settlements, or carrier payment processing. If you've worked behind the scenes in a trucking company's accounting, payroll, or settlements department, we want to hear from you! Transportation Settlements Specialist Location: Fort Worth, TX | Onsite Pay: $20–$23 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Role Impact We are seeking a Transportation Settlements Specialist to process and reconcile payments for Owner Operators, Independent Contractors, and Broker Carriers. This is a back-office position focused on trucking settlements, payment accuracy, and financial recordkeeping. Key Responsibilities Process weekly Owner Operator settlements, contractor payroll, and broker carrier payments. Review load pay, fuel charges, tolls, reimbursements, and settlement deductions for accuracy. Audit invoices, settlement statements, rate confirmations, and proofs of delivery before processing payments. Research and resolve payment discrepancies while coordinating with Accounting, Operations, and transportation partners. Maintain accurate payment records, spreadsheets, and settlement documentation. Minimum Qualifications 2–3 years of hands-on experience processing settlements, contractor payroll, or carrier payments within the trucking or transportation industry. Experience working in a trucking company's accounting, settlements, payroll, or carrier payables department. Knowledge of Owner Operator settlements, driver pay, freight billing, or transportation payment reconciliation. Strong Microsoft Excel, 10-key, and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail. Preferred Experience Experience processing OTR trucking settlements or broker carrier invoices. Familiarity with fuel taxes, settlement deductions, and transportation accounting procedures. Experience with AS400, ICC transportation software, or Infinium financial software. Please Note: This is an administrative/accounting position within the transportation industry. Direct experience processing trucking-related settlements or payments is required; driving or dispatch experience alone does not meet the qualifications.
