As Senior Network Engineer, you will serve as the core technical lead for network reliability, architecture, and security across our logistics operations. You will balance complex network engineering tasks—such as configuring Layer 2/3 switches, enterprise firewalls, BGP/OSPF routing, and data center redundancies—with proactive capacity planning, ISP management, disaster recovery planning, and technical guidance for the broader IT team.
Responsibilities
- Network Design & Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN architectures across multi-site warehouse and office environments.
- Core Hardware & Security Configuration: Configure and support Layer 2/3 switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, and VPN solutions. Manage network segmentation, ACLs, and IDS/IPS policies.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor network health and uptime using enterprise tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix); troubleshoot complex network issues, and perform root cause analysis (RCA) using packet capture tools (Wireshark, TCPdump).
- Data Center & Cloud Integration: Maintain data center network infrastructure, redundancy solutions, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and hybrid/cloud connectivity (Azure/AWS).
- Vendor & ISP Management: Coordinate directly with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and hardware vendors for link delivery, technical support, and SLA compliance.
- Documentation & Team Mentorship: Create and update network architecture diagrams, SOPs, and disaster recovery plans; mentor junior network engineers and support on-call emergency resolutions.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 to 8+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network administration and engineering.
- Core Technical Expertise: In‑depth knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP/VRRP, NAT, QoS, DNS, and DHCP.
- Vendor Hardware Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Sangfor, Aruba/HP, Juniper, MikroTik, or similar enterprise networking gear.
