Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Local Rate = Reg Rate - $25 (10/6/26)
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience with postoperative surgical care and general medical-surgical care.
Unit Details:
The unit cares for a wide variety of medical-surgical, postoperative orthopedic, and trauma patients with fractures.
Patient ratios are 1:4-5 on 12 hr days and 1:5-6 on 12 hr nights.
The unit uses CPAP and heated high flow as needed.
The unit uses house-wide telemetry pack monitors and Philips monitors.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend is required; day shift weekends are Sat/Sun, and night shift weekends are Fri/Sat.
No call.
Floating Requirements:
Travel RNs are first to float if needed, occasionally to other similar medical-surgical floors.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver's license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
