Job Description

Aegis is seeking a qualified Accounting Manager to join our client's organization in Chicago. This is a hybrid position (3 days a week OS and 2 remote. The ideal candidate has the following skills and

experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

7+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

3+ years of experience of public accounting – ie. Consulting or public firm experience

Financial reporting experience using SAP or similar ERP platform

Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. – will be leading month/quarter/yearly end close. Monthly – 5 days, quarterly – 7-8 business days, yearly – takes multiple weeks.

Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

Experience managing at least 1 direct report.

Experience leading the annual external audit process

150M+ in rev company size experience

Required – travel; once per quarter. (Regional Travel)

Preferred qualifications

CPA

Additional education – masters degree.

Background where the candidate has been broad and hands-on rather than highly specialized within a very large corporation
