We are seeking a well-rounded IT and Cybersecurity Engineer to support infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, and compliance initiatives across multiple client environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional with a strong systems or networking background who is looking to expand their cybersecurity expertise.
This is not a traditional Security Operations Center (SOC) role. The ideal candidate understands how IT environments function as a whole and can apply security best practices across infrastructure, endpoints, networks, and cloud platforms. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing consulting environment.

Configure, administer, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, network security solutions, and access controls.
Conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and assist with remediation and security hardening efforts.
Support disaster recovery planning, backup validation, and incident response preparedness.
Monitor backup and recovery solutions to help ensure data protection and business continuity.
Assist with identity and access management initiatives, including multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Support compliance initiatives, including Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and broader governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) programs.
Participate in client onboarding, security reviews, and occasional onsite assessments.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve security controls and strengthen client environments.
Maintain technical documentation and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Stay current on cybersecurity threats, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.

Check Point Harmony, Barracuda, and KnowBe4.
Backup and recovery platforms, such as Commvault and Barracuda.
Compliance & Risk Management
Exposure to CMMC, GRC programs, security controls, or risk management.
Familiarity with security assessments, audit support, and administrative or physical security controls.
Previous experience in a managed service provider (MSP), consulting, or multi-client IT environment.
Experience balancing competing priorities across multiple clients or business units.
Exposure to penetration testing, red team exercises, or incident response activities.
Familiarity with Zero Trust, SSE/SASE, or Zscaler solutions.
Awareness of emerging AI-related security technologies.
A strong interest in expanding cybersecurity knowledge while leveraging a broad IT foundation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional with a security-first mindset who enjoys variety and solving complex technical problems.
