Position Overview

A mission-driven, global nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and

consolidations across multiple domestic and international entities .

This hands-on role reports to the VP of Finance & Operations and requires strong technical accounting skills, particularly in multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency translation.

The organization is open to candidates at different experience levels, including those who may be a better fit for a

Senior Accountant

position.

Key

Responsibilities

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual

consolidations and consolidated financial statement preparation

across multiple entities.

Manage intercompany reconciliations, elimination entries, and foreign currency translation.

Drive month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger integrity.

Apply U.S. GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards to financial reporting and complex accounting matters.

Coordinate external audits and support IRS Form 990 preparation.

Oversee the accounting accuracy of AP and payroll activities.

Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.

7+ years of progressive accounting experience for the Accounting Manager level, with flexibility for a Senior Accountant-level candidate.

Strong hands-on experience with multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, and consolidated financial statements.

Experience with general ledger management, month-end close, and financial reporting.

Nonprofit accounting experience and knowledge of U.S. GAAP preferred.

Experience with international entities and foreign currency accounting is a plus.

Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience; Sage Intacct preferred.
