About the Opportunity

Our client seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger, payroll, and benefit-related accounting. You will lead a team of 5 accountants and partner closely with payroll, benefits, compliance, and development.

Key

Responsibilities

Review and post complex journal entries, including multi-currency and international intercompany transactions

Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances

Lead reconciliation of payroll tax, self-funded health plan, 401(k), SERP, garnishment, and other benefit liability accounts

Investigate payroll bank account variances and ensure entries are accurate and timely

Support the shared services intercompany billing process and corporate overhead variance analysis against budget

Supervise month-end and year-end close in Workday Financials

Support accounting setup for new acquisition and development projects

Serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors

Maintain procedures and checklists in line with GAAP, FASB, and internal controls

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s preferred

7+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory experience and international exposure

Solid understanding of the full payroll cycle

Hands-on experience with multi-currency journal entries, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations

Workday Financials experience strongly preferred

Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of major accounting systems

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently against deadlines
