3+ years of construction safety experience, preferably within telecommunications or electrical. Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction safety regulations. Current Authorized OSHA OTI 500 Construction Outreach Trainer status. Confined Space Entry knowledge/experience preferred. CHST certification or equivalent preferred/required at some sites. EMT or higher credentials preferred. Strong communication, training, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel within assigned territory as needed. Nice to Have Skills &
EMT, Paramedic, or higher medical credentials. BCSP certifications (required for some client sites such as Meta projects). CSP, CHST, ASP, OHST, or other safety certifications. Telecommunications, data center, or mission-critical project experience. Experience leading OSHA inspections and regulatory interactions. Job Description: The Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing, administering, maintaining and coordinating all safety policies and programs including safety training and inspections for the assigned project and others as needed. Ensures compliance with all Site/Customer safety policies and procedure, as well as Federal and State Standards. Develops and manages Safety/Health initiatives aimed at preventing and eliminating occupational incidents, injuries and illnesses. EMT or higher credentials strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Conduct documented jobsite safety audits and inspections. Identify hazards and develop corrective action plans. Deliver new-hire safety orientation, OSHA 10/30-hour, and other required safety training. Oversee confined-space entry activities and associated documentation/training. Conduct root-cause investigations for recordable incidents, near misses, and vehicle incidents. Maintain safety records/reports and support OSHA inspections. Work closely with field personnel, site management, customers, vendors, and contractors.
